The Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan (GPAJ) is a non-profit organization that aims to deepen the general public’s understanding of issues related to international peace, security, development, poverty, and environmental protection. Its purpose is to conduct research, provide information, and disseminate the activities of the international community in these fields. The long-term aim is to contribute to the peacebuilding of the international community through enlightenment and the professional development of experts.
The Association performs the following types of non-profit activities in order to achieve its objectives:
- Activities to promote social education;
- Activities to protect the environment;
- Activities to protect human rights or promote peace;
- International cooperation activities;
- Communication, advice or assistance.
